Editing/Proofreading
Let’s say you’ve spent a lot of time writing everything out you wanted to say about your business, but it either it just doesn’t sound right, you’ve used too many words, or you fear you don’t have a good grasp on your grammar or punctuation. There’s a reason why films usually get edited by someone other than the director—it’s sometimes hard for them to make the needed cuts necessary to make the project better. It’s also rare that whatever everything you draft the first time around is usually what sticks evolves into to the final version. Case in point: Luke Skywalker was first written as a midget little person in the early drafts of Star Wars, and the “founding fathers” re-wrote and revised the U.S. Constitution numerous times before it was finalized became the historical document we know it as today (though we’re still editing and revising it…). Editing is a necessity - in order for any flower to bloom its best, the plant needs to pruned just like pruning back a tree to make it look better more visually appealing in the end. The same is true for writing.
